I had bamboo toothbrushes that I dearly loved, but they are no longer available. These came close to the handle of my old ones...easy to use for arthritic hands but I had to ding them one star because of the shape of the brush head itself. It's not tapered like my old brushes. It's sort of like stuffing a block of wood in your mouth. Kinda awkward. The brush bristles are fine. Not too soft, not too firm. They do the trick but just not quite comfortable because of the bulky head. The handle is wonderful and I wish all bamboo toothbrushes came with a formed handle rather than like a popsicle stick.
